Mr.D.Kashyap, Manager, Earthsense Pvt.Ltd,Hyderabad

Dr.R.Komala   Assistant Professor in Physics/Electronics,
St.Pious degree & P.G. College, Hyderabad.

Brief report

The Department of Electronics has organised a workshop on “e-waste management” to make the students aware of the e-waste and the repercussions happening to nature when they are not properlu recycled.  In present days the usage of electronic gadgets is very high and after using them they are simply throwing into dustbins which are causing a lot of environment hazard. Mr. D.Kashyap has educated the students about the e-waste and how it is polluting the nature through his effective PPT presentation. He enlightened all the B.Sc.  (M.P.E & M.E.Cs) students on latest developments in recycling processes without causing any harm to the mother nature.
In the second session Dr.R.Komala shared her experiences in collecting e-waste in their college and sending the e-waste to the Earth Sense Recycling Pvt. Ltd by involving students in the project.

Outcome

The students became aware of the e waste and the processes involved in recycling. They have interacted with Mr.Kashyap and Dr.Komala about the procedure in collecting the e- waste and how to create awareness among public in society. They have greatly motivated and started collecting e waste from their villages/colonies. They went around the classes and educating the other science, commerce and arts students about e-waste and their recycling process. This is a good sign of sensible and responsible from students because they are the future citizens of the society. The Earth Sense Recycling Pvt. Ltd has agreed to extend their co-operation in  coming future as MOU with our college.
